We might be a good fit if you also cope with humor and are open to being compassionate challenged to "dig deeper". I work with people experiencing issues related to difficulties managing relationships, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Adoption, Codependency, and the stressful parts of being a human! Maybe a part of you feels stuck and unsure of how to move forward. I provide a welcoming space to navigate these issues together to foster a deeper understanding for self-acceptance and growth.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I received my Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University. I have worked in community mental health working with adopted individuals and currently work in private practice offering telehealth therapy anywhere in NC. I believe it is an honor to be along with you on journey and know your story. I conduct my sessions based on your needs, from needing to vent and process or looking to learn practical, helpful tools to cope with uncomfortable emotions and help connect with your authentic self. I utilized different therapeutic modalities including CBT, somatic parts work, mindfulness, and strength-based approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold the belief that you are the expert of you and your story. The therapeutic relationship is an essential part in learning to build trusting healthy relationships with others and build trust and safety with yourself. Reaching out for support can be terrifying, and maybe something we never felt safe enough to do before or held the belief that we just have to figure it out alone.
