About My Clients

The populations I have the most experience in supporting are young adults, college students, neurodiverse adults, and the LGBTQIA+ people. My past clients have described me as "supportive, open, and non-judgmental", which is what I strive to be. No matter what you might be struggling with, I strive to support and help you through your healing journey.

My Background and Approach

Do you ever feel like no one really listens to you? Well the truth is many people don't know how to truly listen to others! I approach client's from a person centered perspective, focusing on reflective listening and having a warm, open environment in session. I believe you are the expert on your experiences. I focus on providing my client's a safe and non-judgmental environment to discuss and process their feelings. I enjoy facilitating growth with my clients by exploring their values, feelings, and goals. I provide coping skills if requested by the client and often pull from DBT or ACT skills in conjunction with my person centered therapeutic orientation. I let client's lead the session and focus on whatever my client feels they need to focus on this week.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in social justice and I pride myself on being intersectional in my own identity, but in understanding the identities of others. I was raised by a single mother in rural Appalachia and I am a first generation college student. I am passionate about helping young adults because I lacked mentorship and advocates when I was attending college, and I understand how overwhelming it can be to tackle higher education alone. My goal is to always advocate for those in need, and I believe our intersectional identities deeply impact how society treats us and what we feel like we need to heal. Personally, I have two cats, Violet and Beauregard, that I love. I enjoy playing board games, going to coffee shops, visiting my family in Kentucky, watching anime, and playing cozy games like Stardew Valley.
