About My Clients
I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationships. I am currently taking client who want to try Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). EMDR has been proven to help to improve symptoms related to trauma issues along with improvements for other mental health issues as well. Don't think you have trauma that's ok, EMDR can still help. I have client using EMDR for different issues even to process a separation, divorce and even weight loss and to improve self-esteem
My Background and Approach
I hold a License Marriage Family Therapy. I have been seeing clients in private practice since 2009. My work focuses on identifying triggers, learning ways to cope more effectively and developing healthier beliefs so you can live your best life. I believe in a collaborative approach and can be directive in order to help client reach their potential and goals. I am committed to helping people move past their life challenges so it makes life more manageable.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value and encourage others to embrace their life, work on things to enrich it and add value to it. My philosophy is "If it's not working for you, change it", getting back to what you value in your life is key. I try to practice these things as well in my life by giving back to my community and practice self-care and mindfulness practices everyday. During the pandemic it was difficult for everyone even me. I began working for Therapy Aid Coalition in which I helped front line workers with no cost therapy services. This was my way of giving back to my community and providing access when they needed it.
