About My Clients
I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma, while supporting folks who are moving through life's transitions. Many of my clients may be experiencing anxiety, depression, addictive behaviors, substance use, relationship issues, LGBTQIA+, gender, and identity issues. Additionally, I am conversationally fluent in ASL and able to provide services in ASL to clients who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
My Background and Approach
My values and therapeutic approach are rooted in 20+ years of yoga practice. I draw heavily on the intersection of mind-body connections such as grounding, breathwork, movement, and noticing. Currently, I am studying Compassionate Inquiry in an intensive year-long training with Dr. Gabor Maté. I work from a somatic-based lens and incorporate different modalities which include inner child repair, attachment healing, parts work, mindfulness-based emotional processing, and a cognitive-behavioral approach. I am fluent in American Sign Language having spent many years studying and working at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. I graduated with my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from New Mexico Highland’s University in 2020. When not working, I'm usually plotting a camping trip or floating in glacial lakes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in radical self-acceptance as a way to honor our already innate and complete wholeness. With clients, I strive to offer an opportunity to observe the depths of our conscious and unconscious patterns, without judgment, in a nurturing and empathetic environment.
