Are you struggling to figure out how you fit into your friendships, relationships or family? Do you look at other people and think, I wish I was like them? Do you hope for the day when things are just better than they are now? You do not have to feel this way. I work to challenge the the messages we tell ourselves, the feedback we get from others. I work to ensure that you know you are good enough and worthy of love because YOU ARE.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from UNT in the summer of 2023. I specialize in working with teens. During my time at UNT, I interned at Denton County Friends of the Family where I worked with kids and teens. I focus on creating a safe space for you to open up and share the most difficult things you experience. I will not force you to open up before you're ready. I will follow your lead because this is YOUR journey. I remember my first experience with therapy as a teen and being terrified, thinking that there was something wrong with me, but I am here to tell you there is NOTHING wrong with you. I got into this field because I see the potential in everyone. When life feels like it is at it's darkest, I will walk through it with you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is so important for me to meet you where you're at. Like I said, this is YOUR journey, not mine. I will work to understand your experience. I work to understand you as a whole person and identify your values, strengths and challenges. I work to inspect all of the intricate aspects of your life, how your religion impacts your ideal partner or sexuality, how your politics impacts your view of the world, how your gender or race impacts how people treat you. You are a whole person, with so many different experiences, I will work to understand you and your experiences.
