About My Clients
You feel disconnected and unheard in a relationship. There is a repeat of the same arguments, with no resolution. Perhaps there has been a betrayal; or there may be uncertainty as to whether or not you should stay together. Or, things aren’t going as well as they once did, and you’d like a “tune up” before things get worse. Or, maybe, you’re feeling down and low-energy, or keyed-up with a head full of racing thoughts. Perhaps you’re feeling adrift in your current path.
My Background and Approach
I primarily utilize therapy practices that have been extensively researched and found to be effective. Therapy will start with a thorough assessment of your situation, followed by creating a treatment plan with which we all agree. I take a straight-forward approach, using compassion, humor, and science to help couples through the painful conversations and increase the moments of connection. I work with couples to reestablish physical and emotional intimacy; rebuild appreciation for each other; and heal old hurts in the relationship. I utilize the same approach to help individual clients cope with current stressors and to explore their current situation and possibilities for change. We will work together to sort through thoughts and feelings; improve your coping toolbox; and explore values and chart a course in line with them.
