About My Clients
I work with folx who are interested in exploring their intersecting identities, including but not limited to their racial, sexual, and gender identities. I welcome those looking to explore their gender identities and expressions, "coming out" or inviting others in, understanding their attraction(s). I also provide queer-affirming sex therapy for those looking to expand their sexual lives, relationships, and pleasure.
My Background and Approach
I am a director at Stanford University’s Weiland Health Initiative where she spearheads multiple educational, therapeutic, and advocacy projects focused on serving queer communities. I teach multiple courses at Stanford University and University of San Francisco focused on issues of sex, sexuality, and gender. I have received extensive training in these areas and continue to expand my knowledge-base through multidisciplinary continuing education; I am an IAYT-Q 500hr yoga teacher through Stanford Medicine’s YogaX program, hold a Sex Therapy Certificate from CIIS, and am in the process of becoming an AASECT certified sex therapist. I also attempt to queer the academy through clinical and academic book-writing focused on queer communities and issues, especially queer Asian American experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
With a warm, humble, and curious strength-focused approach, I aim to create a therapeutic space that encourages vulnerability, insight, risk-taking, and growth. Clinically, I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, relational cultural lens informed by liberation psychology. Additionally, as a queer mixed Filipina femme, I know first-hand the power of queer-affirming care and strives to provide this for others. Through feminist centered, relational cultural therapeutic foundations, I hope to expand the ways in which individuals see themselves, their relationships, and the world- creating possibilities for authenticity, connection, and thriving!
