About My Clients
I'm passionate about working with teens, young adults, adults and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality concerns, interpersonal conflict, trauma, addiction, self esteem and eating disorders. I am especially committed to working with teens and adults who identify as LGBTQIA+. If you are looking to be more of an active participant in your life, gain insight and work toward a greater sense of self, I would love to meet you.
My Background and Approach
Working with me often involves warmth, steadied compassion and deepening self reflection. I use an eclectic approach to therapy and incorporate psychodynamic approaches, CBT, DBT skills, Internal Family Systems therapy, attachment therapy, mindfulness, somatic approaches and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, all with cultural humility and a feminist lens. I would be honored to work alongside you as you become more of yourself! I offer online sessions and woods walk-and-talks in Carrboro. Please feel free to reach out to see if we're a good fit and I am always happy to give referrals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is rooted in my personal beliefs of antiracism, questioning and resisting white supremacist and colonialist forces, gender expansive liberation and feminism. I also believe it is my job to meet people where they are and work toward larger healing together. I strive to make our therapy space one where you can bring your whole self-- the political, the personal, the tucked away scary stuff-- so that we can make sense of it together. I believe deeply in your innate ability and inner resources as the source material for our work together.
