I can help you learn how to work with difficult emotions, calm overwhelming thoughts, and find more peace and ease within your relationships. Therapy together will go deeper than "just talking" about the issues. Trauma-informed therapy will help you cultivate real lasting change- bringing you peace, clarity, and calm in your day-to-day life.
My Background and Approach
Trauma can leave us feeling damaged, broken, and disconnected from others and ourselves. I know that you are not your anxiety, panic, addictive behavior, or other difficult thought, feeling or behavior- rather, they are a part of you. I will support you in learning about how these parts of you came to be there, and what it's going to take to have them relax back. I have advanced training in all things trauma and collaboratively, we will work together to calm these parts of you and find peace, calm, and clarity in your day to day. We will work together in stages, first learning about your emotions, thoughts, and feelings and how they came to be there. Then, we will work on learning tools and strategies to calm your mind and body when you are feeling overwhelmed. Once we have those strategies down, we will work together to process old pain points so that what used to bother you (that person, relationship, place, or thing), no longer affects you in the way it used to.

As a trauma survivor myself, I honor the step you are taking. As a certified EMDR & trauma-informed therapist, I can help you tap into your innate ability to heal from your past & find peace.
