About My Clients
Are you struggling to handle the stressors of life transitions, or does everything seem overwhelming? I enjoy working with individuals and families around self-regulation, coping with stress, identity exploration, and family dynamics. I focus on nervous system regulation, stress management, and working on self-compassion and values. I have a particular interest in working with reproductive health, postpartum, neurodiversity, queerness and polyamory, chronic illness and anxiety.
My Background and Approach
I believe strongly in each person's innate strengths and the importance of building relationships to help explore life's challenges. I use a client centered, values based lens and I pull from from Attachment Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, and others. I have specific training in working with pregnancy and postpartum mental health, neurodiversity, and queer populations.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is grounded in liberation ethics. I work to find true informed consent in the therapy relationship by using direct communication, addressing power differentials, and asking for honest feedback. I believe in anti-oppressive practice for all intersections of identities, including race, gender, ethnicity, ability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and more.
