My Background and Approach
I started volunteering in the field in 2016 doing play with children at a grief center, as well as doing Crisis Text Line, after receiving my B.S. in Psychology. Between then and receiving my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I also worked at a substance abuse rehab and at a behavioral health residential facility for adolescents. My experience as a counselor involves work with adults, adolescents, and children with issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, narcissistic abuse, and substance abuse. Throughout my career I've been learning and perfecting tools and techniques for helping people like yourself. The tools we'll work on will be for grounding yourself, calming the nervous system, gaining resilience, problem-solving, and developing more insight.
