We all deserve to feel seen and understood. I provide trauma-informed therapy to folks working to find a sense of meaning and connection.

About My Clients

Are you feeling disconnected from yourself and your surroundings after a recent or past trauma? Do you find that anxious thoughts steal the joy from what would otherwise be positive experiences? Do you identify as a motherless mother or daughter? You deserve to feel seen and understood in a safe and inclusive space. I look forward to hearing your story and helping you find the tools to manage your feelings.

My Background and Approach

I see therapy as a collaborative and judgment-free process where we will help you grow into the best version of yourself. I am warm and empathetic, and will sometimes also invite you to see things from different view points. In this way, you can make sense of behavior and thinking patterns that no longer serve you by illuminating where they may have started in your past. I’m not afraid to talk about anything you need to explore and I like using humor to build connection. I want you to get results from the investment you’re making in yourself through our time together, rather than feeling like you’re talking in circles and getting nowhere. My therapeutic approach is integrative and personalized to your specific needs. It is rooted in attachment theory and psychodynamic therapy to promote the growth of self-compassion and insight. I utilize my training in evidence-based practices to teach you concrete tools to manage your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we all deserve to heal from emotional pain. Whether the wound occurred recently, or a long time ago, it’s never too late to go back and tend to it. I like to use an integrative approach to therapy because healing sometimes means addressing faulty thought and behavior patterns that no longer serve us, and sometimes it means going back and digging into stories and experiences rooted in our past that directly connect to the things we do and feel at the present time. I am a white Mexican-American who was born and raised in Los Angeles. I think it’s important to acknowledge my privilege as a white woman, while working to tackle the often unspoken issue of colorism in my family’s home country. I am a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, LGBTQ+ ally, and believe that gender is a social construct. I love spending time outdoors with my rescue pup, Iggy, and exploring my identity as a new mom.
