About My Clients
My clients are typically members of marginalized and minority communities, typically Asian-American and LGBTQ+. Together, I hope to help them explore issues related to depression, anxiety, stress, perfectionism and burnout, relational conflicts, intimacy and trust, boundaries, internalized oppression, racial identity and trauma, intergenerational trauma, and grief. I also provide a limited amount of sliding scale slots for low-income clients. Please inquire regarding availability.
My Background and Approach
I believe that kindness and compassion are my natural orientation and I position myself accordingly as a therapist. I believe that we are all inherently enough. My job is not to “fix” you or tell you what to do. Rather, my job is to help you find the resources and resiliency to relate to yourself in new ways that feel nourishing, envision possibilities where you could not find them before, hold space for you to process what it has meant to arrive where life has taken you in its many complexities and to collaborate on navigating new territories for a life that feels more authentic and aligned. I use evidence-based approaches that are rooted in emotions, self-compassion, and unraveling the stories that keep us feeling stuck. While our work will rarely be comfortable and I may gently challenge you, I promise to do so with grace and compassion.
