About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients who wish to heal their relationships with food and with their bodies. Recovering this sacred relationship can be difficult to navigate on your own, but I believe in the power of having a guide who can walk alongside you as you return to your inner self and get back in touch with yourself. I would be honored to be this guide for you.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate who works with disordered eating, body image, trauma, and mood disorders. I have experience helping people heal their relationships with themselves and gain self-compassion to grow in their self-love. I am trained in EMDR and other forms of trauma treatment, which I feel plays a role in just about all of our lives. I have a background in providing psychoeducational workshops, supporting survivors of various traumas, and integrating mind-body-soul healing in a way that best suites my clients' unique individual lifestyles. My approach is client-centered and holistic. My main goal is to empower you to make the changes you want to see.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Through both personal and professional experiences, I have learned that our mental health is a product of a variety of different factors. These factors can range from system oppression, social locations, genetics, biology, trauma, environmental stressors, and personality. Oftentimes, these factors all compile onto our relationships. I believe that our relationship with ourselves is reflected in our relationship to others, the world, food, our bodies, our spirituality, etc. Healing one of these relationships will have a ripple effect on the rest of them and all of these relationships carry important information about ourselves. I believe it is important to hone in on these data points to learn more about who we are and to further heal.
