About My Clients

I specialize in working with children, teens and young adults. I have a passion for working with the queer community and those individuals struggling with their identity.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Social Worker who received my Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have done work in both undergraduate and graduate school forcing on Gender Identity formation and cultural differences in gender and sexuality. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults between the ages of 10 and 25. I am passionate about issues that affect the queer community and bring a trauma informed approach to addressing generational cycles. I focus on establishing a strong mind-body connection, while breaking negative thought patterns. I often encourage my clients to lean into strong emotions, rather than shy away from them, to better understand why strong reactions arise. I have worked in both the outpatient setting as a graduate student clinician at USC, and in the Inpatient setting here in Pennsylvania. As an Inpatient clinician, I have

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Adolescence and young adulthood are both exciting times, but also incredibly vulnerable. Marked by increased independence, young people and families may struggle to establish new boundaries, as new precedents are set. As a therapist working with this population, I aim to create a safe and affirming environment for my clients to explore their growth and healing. I value incorporating family as much as possible when that is feasible and appropriate to do so. In sessions with families, I focus on re-establishing interpersonal relationships among members. In this, I encourage families to practice assertive communication while building empathy and compassion for each other. Some of my areas of focus are LGBTQ+ issues, identity formation, post-traumatic growth, and conflict management between self and others. I strive to bring humor, creativity and levity to sessions as much as possible.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
