My Background and Approach
I take a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on the whole person—mind, body, emotions, and spirit. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand and navigate your thoughts, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to process and explore emotions, and mindfulness-based practices to cultivate emotional regulation and distress tolerance. I also draw from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to teach coping skills for managing emotions more effectively. I believe in the profound connection between mind, body, and spirit, and I pay close attention to how emotions manifest physically and spiritually. By considering these aspects, we can gain deeper insight into your overall well-being and develop a well-rounded toolkit for navigating challenges. When working with couples, I use a blend of Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), and The Gottman Method to foster connection and healing.
