I am a licensed professional counselor from Colorado. My practice focuses on providing healing through kindness, compassion, and empathy.

Licensed Professional Counselor in Fort Collins, CO

About My Clients

My clients typically start counseling because they are self-critical and overwhelmed by their responsibilities. Many of my clients also began therapy to work on compulsive and addictive behaviors. I started working with clients on a variety of issues in 2016 and have since specialized in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.

My Background and Approach

I am a compassion focused therapist and I work with clients to help them improve the quality of their life and their self-esteem. I typically begin therapy by exploring a person's history of significant relationships and events. From there, we make sense of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors using a compassionate understanding of the psychological systems that are innate in all human beings. Sessions then focus on creating a unique plan that allows the person to become more intentional and promotes contentment and self-soothing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that it is my job to create an environment in which you feel safe to tell me what you need help with. You will always be met with a sense of compassion and empathy. I truly care to hear about what you are going through and hope to communicate that by being non-judgmental and understanding. I also believe that authenticity is key to any therapeutic relationship and you can expect me to be my genuine self in session. Sessions can range from feeling informative and validating to conversational and lighthearted, but they will always be focused on your goals and for your benefit.
