About My Clients
My clients usually identify as queer or gender diverse or both. I also work a lot with intersectional identities and everyone is welcome within my practice. I offer letters of support to help with pursuing gender affirming medical care. I am trained in trauma reprocessing and can help with that as well. A lot of my clients are also neurodivergent in some way so I'm happy to accommodate in any way possible if accommodations are needed.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with my Master's in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR. I have worked in a women's prison, domestic violence resource center, community mental health agencies, inpatient hospital, and in-home services. Currently I have been in private practice for 4 years and have found my skills best fit this style of work. I am trained in EMDR, Gestalt, Narrative, CBT, and DBT. I approach every client as a whole person and hold no judgements or expectations. I meet you where you are at to best serve you. My most recent modality is the Neuro Affective Relational Model or NARM which helps people heal from complex trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a firm advocate for the LGBTQ community and believe in the BLM movement. I try to frame all my work from an anti-racist worldview. I am a socialist with radical political views. In my limited free time I enjoy watching anime, reading fantasy novels, writing fiction, and spending time with my friends, family, and pets.
