About My Clients
I enjoy working with older adolescent youth and adults as they navigate life transitions and issues related to depression, anxiety, self-concept, and relationships. I moved to Charlotte in 2011 to focus my practice on working with and supporting the LGBTQ community. My practice experience has focused primarily on working with older adolescents and young adults (15-25 years old) but I have also worked with LGBTQ older adults in reaching their therapy goals.
My Background and Approach
My passion for supporting others in their mental health journey grew over my 10 years of work with LGBTQ youth and young adults through my roles at Time Out Youth. During this time I came to understand the lack of culturally competent care for LGBTQ people that is available in our community and to also see how transformative affirming mental health care can be. I believe that attention to mental health is a vital part of self-care and want to create a therapeutic space that supports and embraces people of all orientations and identities.
