About My Clients
I am passionate about working with individuals who seek to improve the relationships in their lives and become better versions of themselves. If you are looking to grow, create connections, and understand yourself more clearly, I encourage you to reach out and see if we are a good fit with a complimentary initial consultation.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS), feminist principles, and a person-centered framework, all tailored to the needs of each client. I prioritize being flexible and responsive, focussing on the unique needs and identities of each client while fostering healing, self-discovery, and empowerment. I facilitate exploration of clients' internal parts through dialogues and visualization exercises. This helps to identify and understand the roles of different parts, fostering self-compassion and healing. I encourage clients to tell their stories, helping them reframe and reconstruct their narratives. This approach allows them to gain new perspectives on their experiences, identity, and relationships. I work with clients to set realistic goals and create actionable steps, empowering them to take ownership of their healing journey and celebrate their progress.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer woman I feel immensely grateful to specialize in working with fellow queer community members. I am passionate about promoting accessibility for WPATH letters and love working with clients who are curious about/critical of the systems we are a part of and how that relates to how we see ourselves. I also particularly enjoy working with adolescents. I am firmly of the belief that none of us are free until all of us are free, and therapy is an inherently political space. I am interested in all things pertaining to queer affirmative therapy; utilizing parts work to help clients understand and heal the various aspects of themselves that may have been shaped by societal expectations, trauma, or internalized stigma; and I enjoy exploring the complexities of queer relationships, including polyamory, monogamy, and chosen families. This includes addressing issues like communication, boundaries, and intimacy within diverse relational frameworks.
