About My Clients
I serve Professional Counselor Associates (OR) and Art Therapist supervisees (nationwide). Are you are seeking supervision rooted in counter-oppressive ethics, grounded in both concrete skills and the politics of mental health work, and with whom you can be your authentic self? My supervisees serve low income, queer/trans, sex workers, neurodivergent clients across the lifespan in community mental health, group practice, IOP, and private practice settings, and engage fully in the sup process.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in providing supervision from a trauma-informed, developmental, & relational Feminist/systemic perspective. I approach our work together as collaborators and peers. My approach relies on the gradual development of trust and vulnerability over time. My style is personable and collegial while maintaining high ethical and professional standards in my approach to therapeutic work. As your supervisor, my role will include that of teacher, mentor, consultant, advocate, and evaluator.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My goal is to train and empower a new generation of therapists to offer the highest quality, LGBTQ+ competent care, while working in supervision to repair interpersonal survival patterns that impede the counseling relationship and contribute to vicarious traumatization within this field. My hope is that my supervisees can reduce their own anxiety and step into their power. My areas of expertise include LGBTQ+ community competences with a special focus on the needs of transgender/gender diverse people including gender issues for children and youth.
