I view therapy as a process that can help us discover more about where we've been, who we are becoming, and how we want to live.

Licensed Professional Counselor in Denver, CO

About My Clients

I'm passionate about walking alongside people who have a sense that, "Maybe, just maybe, it doesn't have to always be this way." Maybe you’re feeling stuck in the same relational dynamics, holding beliefs and ideas about yourself, others, and the world that no longer seem helpful, or wanting to figure out what it might look like to be a more healthy, whole, and honest person. I work with folks who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, relational issues, and identify formation.

My Background and Approach

I seek to provide therapy that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered. My orientation is informed by many different theories and approaches because I believe that there is no one right path or approach for everyone. I view my job as helping people discover what health and truth look like for them, on their own terms. I have pursued ongoing training in many areas such as addiction, suicidality, neurobiology and anxiety, attachment and trauma, EMDR, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I'd love to answer some questions you may have and talk with you further in a free 20-minute phone consultation!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the dignity and value of every human being, regardless of harm they have caused or harm they have suffered. I believe each person’s agency and autonomy should be upheld and honored. As someone who used to be immersed in environments characterized by more rigid and binary thinking, I have come to greatly value approaching people and situations with more complexity and nuance. I am gay, and I’m passionate about holding space for other queer folks to explore themselves and their experiences. As someone who grew up in conservative evangelical Christianity, I appreciate holding space for folks who are wrestling with their experiences from this community and wanting to explore what role spirituality plays in their life, even if that means letting go of their faith beliefs.
