About My Clients
Through counseling, I support individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of challenges and healing. From anxiety, trauma, and depression to relationship issues, I provide tools for effective coping strategies, communication skills, and distress tolerance. I offer a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we can develop coping strategies, build resilience, enhance self-awareness, and foster personal growth.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Counseling Intern at Iridescent Counseling Center while completing my Masters's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Arizona University. Prior to beginning my Masters's degree, I attended Arizona State University where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Family/Human Development. In addition to Rogerian Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I draw on a range of other therapeutic modalities, including mindfulness-based approaches, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy, to provide a holistic, supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental therapeutic approach to counseling. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of effective counseling and my goal in working together is to establish a warm, collaborative relationship with my clients, based on mutual trust and respect.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative advocate dedicated to promoting equality, inclusivity, and respect for all sexual orientations and gender identities. I believe in the power of activism and social change to address systemic issues and fight against inequality. I support movements for LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, gender equality, and environmental sustainability. I strive to create a safe and affirming space for diverse voices, amplifying marginalized perspectives, and being an ally to those facing discrimination. Through dialogue, awareness, and support, I aim to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable world.
