About My Clients
My clients are typically professionals and college students who feel the people in their lives don't see them for who they truly are. A few general examples might be people who are navigating new/challenging phases of life with wounds from past family or romantic relationships; people who are developing or exploring an identity more authentic to their personhood like sexuality, gender, and unconventional relationship structures; and people experiencing conflict around living authentically.
My Background and Approach
It's important for me to build authentic, trusting relationships where you can freely express yourself without fear of judgement. Counseling should be a place where you feel comfortable delving into the hidden parts of your self and know that you are able to openly express this in our sessions with out fear of judgement or persecution. I am a licensed and board certified counselor providing evidence-based counseling to adults throughout Georgia & Florida. My background is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I have specialized training in trauma treatment, pregnancy and postpartum mental health, working with the military community, and life skill training. I can help you work toward the goals you have for counseling using tools backed by research. As we collaborate, I will support you by encouraging you to engage your strengths, offering new perspectives, and helping you challenge old patterns and boundaries to bring about real and lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people are worthy and deserving of love and healing. One of my core values is compassion and this absolutely comes through in my work with clients and the community. A core tenant of my life as a whole, both personal and professional, is to meet people where they are with openness and empathy. We are all just trying to find happiness and so often the stories that our lives or culture tell us about what we "should" be or do grow to become harmful narratives that don't actually align with our personhood. My belief is that when people are invited to engage in expansive, ethical ways that align with who they truly are this is when we can learn to truly thrive.
