About My Clients
My clients come from all walks of life, but they usually begin therapy with some version of the same core feeling: it’s all just too much. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed in daily life, navigating complicated relationships, wanting to heal your relationship with food or your body, or (re)discovering who you are – you're here because you need some support and you're daring to imagine that you deserve it. And you do!
My Background and Approach
Imagine going through life being able to – emotionally, relationally, physically, truly – trust your gut. Therapy is an opportunity to learn how to do just that. At my core, I am a relational psychodynamic therapist, which essentially means I’m attuned to the ways that the therapeutic relationship itself can be a window into the vast internal world of my clients. Over the years, I’ve also cultivated a robust toolbox of modalities that I find helpful in different situations — including CBT, DBT, ACT, RO-DBT, IFS, EFT, Attachment Theory, Somatic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Intuitive Eating, and more. My style as a therapist is warm, curious, and practical. I’ve been in my own therapy for years, so I know how much courage it takes to share all your stories, unspeakable thoughts, and deepest fears with another person. I am committed to showing up as a real human being so you can feel safe to do the same.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring my personal lenses as queer person, an intersectional feminist, and a long-time therapy client myself into my work. I practice from a trauma-informed, gender-affirming, anti-racist, sex-positive, and weight-inclusive perspective with deep consideration for marginalized identities and the impact of systemic oppression on individual and collective mental health.
