About My Clients
The clients I work best with are those who are wanting to expand their self awareness, deepen or connect with their self or become unstuck in patterns no longer serving them. Through this process you will gain insight and awareness on how to deal with your stressors in a constructive manner, and ultimately find the necessary tools and coping skills to assist you with your unique process and life path which can lead to more fulfillment and more authentic self.
My Background and Approach
My prior clinical experience includes working with individuals in the LGBTQIA2S+ community at AIDS Project Los Angeles, as well as individuals experiencing the impact of substance abuse and addiction while I worked at a treatment facility for chemical dependency called The Gooden Center. Currently, I work in a wellness center at a local college treating college aged clients. My approach can be described as intuitive, warm and welcoming, compassionate, understanding, and client centered. I work collaboratively with you to develop a personalized plan to address your presenting issues(s), taking into consideration who you are as a person by utilizing a variety of interventions tailored specifically to treat your individual needs. My practice is informed from trauma based and somatic based backgrounds including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Compassionate Inquiry (CI), Somatic Experiencing (SE), while also utilizing a psychodynamic and client centered lens.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has the innate capability and possibility toward healing no matter what challenges they are experiencing. My interests and hobbies include practicing yoga, meditation, playing soccer, surfing, being in nature, traveling and spending time with my 2 dogs Nico and Harry.
