My Background and Approach
I am a trauma-informed therapist grounded in a person-centered tradition of psychotherapy. That means I believe the potential for change lies within every person. I will walk alongside you through the process of therapy but ultimately, YOU are the expert on you. Being trauma-informed means being deeply aware of the impact trauma, of any kind, has on suffering and ability to cope. Your emotional and psychological safety is a priority. You will never be “forced” to discuss anything that you are not comfortable with, and we will always proceed at your pace. I work with adult individuals of any age. I also have special interest and experience in working with following groups: people dealing with grief and loss, elderly individuals, people with life-limiting illness and their care partners, people diagnosed with functional neurologic disorder (FND), and people who have been incarcerated. I have a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
