LGBTQ+ issues is a vast category, but often intertwines with feelings of anxiety and depression. I dedicate myself and my practice to this underserved community, and understand that your experience as a member of the LGBTQ+ community can color every aspect of your life. If you're trying to figure out your identity, how identity interacts with your relationships, or how it makes you feel, talk therapy could assist you.
I was trained specifically in humanistic therapy during my time in graduate school. This approach in therapy means that I view you as a unique individual, and know that one approach to therapy will not work with every single individual. Therapy with you will be focusing on your strengths and helping you realize your potential.
Person-centered therapy essentially means that you get to identify what you would like to discuss in the session! I will help to guide you in exploring and processing events and feelings, and help you to develop coping skills, but what you would like to focus on working on that day is up to you! I do have an eclectic approach though, so I am open to hearing more about what you would benefit from most in therapy.
