My approach is warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental. I help clients recognize what causes overwhelm and learn strategies to help them reset and feel confident in themselves
My Background and Approach
I view counseling as a collaborative client-led relationship to help you gain skills and confidence in yourself. I especially enjoy working with people from all walks of life who experience anxiety, depression, or trauma symptoms. I am well-versed in a variety of trauma-informed approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Attachment-Based Trauma Therapy, among others. I really enjoy working with my clients to understand the root cause of symptoms and using the most effective approach to help them find relief.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people need to be fully accepted in order to change. In my work with clients, I help them recognize their strengths and build their confidence so they can unapologetically be who they are and live life on their terms. I am an LGBTQ ally and a big believer in social justice and have worked in this capacity for over four years.
