About My Clients
If it feels time to release stuck memories and emotions, I am here to help you breathe life into your story. By embracing a somatic and integrative approach to your mental health, we can: discover, get to know and embrace your whole self. I look forward to hearing from you.
My Background and Approach
My previous experience incorporated work as an exercise physiologist, which taught me to appreciate the human body, mental health and fitness/health intersections, and biology. I have ten years of experience teaching yoga as a 200 hr RYT. My therapeutic approach incorporates blend of somatic, IFS, and EMDR work. I enjoy teaching tools to help folks regulate their nervous system and provide information on attachment theory to help clients get through the "here and now." IFS and EMDR are incredible in moving towards a powerful trauma treatment that focuses on healing deep core beliefs, releasing stuck or blocked emotions, and relieving adverse and difficult lifetime experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
With the right therapeutic relationship therapy can safely blossom. All people can begin to develop an understanding of their self and become self-led. It's an honor of mine to sit alongside all intersections of humans and create safety through our work together. I have experience working with the LGBTQ+, ADHD, Survivor, and Veteran communities. I invite BIPOC folks to reach out for a consultation and welcome people with different identities into my therapeutic space. This worked has informed an incredible interest in somatic therapies, IFS work, and providing an entirely humanistic and client centered approach to therapy. I believe in equality and equity and decreasing professional bias. As a clinical social worker, social justice issues are areas I have heavily written about, discussed, and researched. I believe there are intersections of each of my clients that informs their social, personal, and work environments and life experience.
