About My Clients

Do you struggle with feelings of worthlessness, shame, guilt, emotional control, connection with others, or chronic relationship issues? These may be signs of complex PTSD, and EMDR could help. I specialize in trauma-focused therapy for adults with histories of anxiety, relationship issues, and depression. I also have experience working with dissociative symptoms, anger, and self-esteem issues.

My Background and Approach

I have extensive training in trauma including hundreds of hours of training and consultation in EMDR. In our first sessions, we will get to know your mind, body, and the nervous system that connects them. Your nervous system has a memory, and we will explore that memory to determine if any past experiences are contributing to current issues in your life. Next, we can use EMDR to re-evaluate those 'stuck' memories and gain relief from some of your symptoms.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that our emotional experience occurs primarily in our body, and the thoughts in our head follow that emotional experience. I will spend a lot of time with my clients exploring how feelings and patterns of reacting developed over the course of a lifetime to gain a compassionate understanding of the current situation before trying to change unhelpful patterns of thinking.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
