About My Clients
I help my clients develop skills to thrive in the workplace, school, home, and social settings. I help my clients struggling with depression work through their feelings to develop meaning and fulfillment. I help my clients experiencing anxiety find the sources of the anxiety and successfully navigate their stressors. I help co-parents navigate conflict and provide skills so that they can effectively work as a team. I help parents set appropriate boundaries with their child in more effective ways
My Background and Approach
When I start with a new client, my first step is to build comfortability and develop a deeper understanding of who they are and what brings them to therapy. I want to understand what you are hoping to gain from therapy, so that I can provide a tailored treatment plan that will give you the experience you are looking for. I work together with my clients to collaboratively develop treatment goals, so that we are on the same page in terms of what our focus is and what progress will look like. It is important to me that my clients have agency in the therapy room, which is why it is important to work together to chart our course. If you’re a teenager or young adult, we’ll work at your pace, with respect for your independence and your voice. For parents and co-parents, I’ll help you create a healthier family dynamic, get on the same page with your co-parent, set appropriate boundaries, and develop practical skills for managing the ups and downs of family life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy is a place for personal growth, discovery and healing. Everyone’s individual experiences are unique, and so are their wounds. This is why I make sure to pull from multiple evidence-based treatment modalities to implement the strategies that will most benefit my clients. Therapy is not one size fits all, and you deserve to be treated as the individual you are. One of the most important aspects of therapy is the therapist-client relationship. Therefore I believe it’s important you choose the therapist that is right for you. If you feel I’m that therapist, please reach out. Seeking help is the first step to healing.
