About My Clients
The clients I work best with are those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, past traumas, identity crisis, existential crisis, personality disorders, perfectionism, and low self esteem. My clients are motivated for treatment and are willing and able to go on this healing journey where they get to know their inner world, self reflect, grow, and heal. My clients value the therapeutic relationship and utilize this relationship to help strengthen their positive qualities, skills and healing.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology as well as a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Counseling Psychology. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. I am a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapist and am EMDRia trained. I also hold a certificate in Evidence based Psychotherapy for Care of Clinicians. I utilize a "bottom up" approach which accepts that feelings or even body sensations happen first. This creates healing relationships where it feels safe to begin to look at why we are having "symptoms" without feeling overwhelmed. The emphasis is on the healing relationships which include the therapist-client relationship as well as the client's relationship with oneself. Some of the modalities that I pull from are ego state work, somatic work, internal family systems, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, acceptance and commitment therapy, somatic work, polyvagal theory, and dialectical and behavioral therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that we all have the capacity and wisdom to heal. I believe in the whole mind and body approach. I believe connection is essential in healing. Connecting with nature, with what we put in our bodies, with others, with ourselves, is all so important when going on our own healing journey. I believe in the power of music and other forms of art as healing. By being present and grateful in this moment can be a powerful way to continue to grow and heal. I love animals, live music, the mountains, ocean, trees, traveling, reading, camping, hiking, learning, and spending time with loved ones.
