About My Clients
Life can be hard. It is filled with unexpected grief, pain, confusion, loneliness, and doubt. We can find ourselves questioning the purpose, questioning who we are and why we are here. Whether anxiety comes out of no where or depression creates a heavy fog- I am here to help. Our lives are marked by wounds of our past stories. Our there-and-then bleeds shades how we experience our here-and-now. Together, we can untangle the stories to heal the wounds.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I provide my clients with a safe space to bring all of themselves-- their fears, their feelings, their shame, and their hopes. A place where individuals can process and express their emotions and tell their story so that they can flourish and experience the fullness of life. I offer empathy, insight, and connection that produces healing and growth for those who feel stuck, overwhelmed, hopeless, or confused. It is an honor to witness my clients' experience, support them as they discover their strength, and to watch them step into the fullness of who they are. I approach counseling with gentleness, curiosity, and authenticity. With a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling I believe that therapy is collaborative and relational. Our brains are wired for connection so we heal in relation to others. Additionally, I offer EMDR when appropriate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all created to thrive, to feel deeply, to live fully, and to walk in our identities as valuable, worthy, and loved. I believe that how we experienced our past informs our present. We can take the wounds from our past, the lies we believed about ourselves and unlearn them to create new healthy beliefs and patterns.
