My Background and Approach
I have a lot of experience working with children, teens and young adults with a wide viareity of issues. Previously, I have worked in more acute settings where teens were struggling with anger, self harming, thouguths of suicide and everything in between. I have also worked with kids that have survived tramutic experiences in some way. I have also worked with families in vairous capacties. I like to take a strength based apporach to therapy. You are the expert of your self and you know what is going to work for you, I'm kind of a trouble shooter to help you find the best modifaction to make your coping skills work even better for you. In therapy I also take into consideration culture and how society influences our lives. I do have a background in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and like to pull different skills from different types of therapy to best meet the needs of my client.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are meant to connect with others and to live as authentically as possible. I also believe that as long as you are not hurting others you should be able to live your life in whatever way makes the most sense and feels the best for you. I support and am a member of the LGBTQIA+, strong support of BLM and other such organizations.
