About My Clients
I work with adult individuals and couples who are seeking support related to trauma, grief, self-esteem, communication, and depression. I have experience helping people work through grief due to the loss of a parent, or loss to suicide; complex trauma connected with familial patterns and issues; as well as people working through issues related to their mixed-race identity. I am committed to supporting individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, BIPOC, and people who are working on personal growth.
My Background and Approach
My theoretical orientation is Humanistic and person-centered which I integrate with specific interventions from other orientations such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in order to focus on what is working for you and playing to your strengths. I provide my client's with tools that build towards emotional flexibility.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe my client's are their own experts. Nobody knows your story the way you do, and I will collaborate with you to determine the most effective treatment for your individual needs. I work to create a safe therapeutic environment to support you in honoring your past, living in the present, and imagining a more empowered future. We can work together on any current or long standing challenge you’re experiencing at a pace you're comfortable with. I look forward to being on your team and a source of support for you through your journey. Utilizing a trauma-informed framework, I support clients in gaining a deeper understanding of their experiences, building a sense of empowerment, recognizing their resiliency, and identifying ways to create sustainable changes in their lives.
