About My Clients
Have you experienced a traumatic event, or maybe even multiple traumatic events, that lead you questioning when the next bad thing will happen? Have your experiences led you to negative self talk and to feel hard on yourself? Oftentimes someone who has experienced a traumatic event will find themselves feeling ashamed and a burden to those who love them. I enjoy empowering clients to process the heavy things on their heart and mind so they can move forward with less stress.
My Background and Approach
My career has been dedicated to supporting crime survivors and individuals impacted by traumatic events. I have extensive training and experience working with domestic violence, sexual abuse, and grief/loss. I also have particular interests in working with veterans, first responders, individuals with autism and/or their families. I enjoy creating a safe space where clients can share their feelings. Together we can build coping skills, incorporate mindfulness techniques, and utilize EMDR to meet your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you are the expert of your own situation, meaning I will meet you exactly where you are at on your journey. I do not come with my own agenda to push in sessions. I also believe that all of us are incredibly resilient. Sometimes we just need a little extra support and to learn new ways of thinking in order to feel happier and healthier.
