My Background and Approach

I am Dr. Stephanie Miodus, a licensed psychologist dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and adults. I use a strength-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach tailored to your needs. I have expertise in supporting autistic and neurodivergent individuals through both assessment and intervention and also working with those who have been adopted or experienced trauma, applying a trauma-informed lens. I offer in-person sessions in New York City and telehealth services in New York and Pennsylvania. Recognizing that every individual has their own strengths and areas of growth, I collaborate closely with you to set meaningful goals and develop a practical, solution-focused plan to achieve them. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation today to see how I can support you in reaching your goals and helping you or your child thrive.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment rooted in disability rights advocacy, neurodiversity-affirming care, and equity. Given my commitment to these values, I have held advocacy leadership roles in the American Psychological Association and Pennsylvania Psychological Association, advocated with community organizations, published on policy issues, and provided input on drafts of congressional bills. In line with my passion for supporting youth, I also volunteer with children and teens through mentorship roles. In my work, I honor each person’s unique identity and cultural background, taking a collaborative, culturally sensitive approach that tailors assessments and interventions to align with each person’s values, traditions, and needs. I strive to deliver evidence-based, empowering, and affirming care that promotes growth, resilience, and well-being.
