About My Clients
Many of my clients are attracted to the option of walking sessions. Some find that talking while walking facilitates clearer thinking or broader perspectives on whatever issues are occupying their minds. Others feel that walking helps them get "unstuck," see more possibilities, and make progress toward their goals. Many people simply appreciate the chance to connect with the natural world while working through the challenges in their daily lives.
My Background and Approach
My overarching focus is on the importance of a genuine relationship between my client and me. I believe that authenticity fosters empathy, understanding, and trust — all essential for effective therapy, no matter what issues are being addressed. I also bring to each session a calm presence, a nonjudgmental attitude, curiosity, and a sense of humor. With couples, my work ranges from brief, solution-focused therapy to longer-term support for deepening connection and improving communication. I view my role as helping to clarify issues, identify patterns, and create solutions for lasting change. My specialization in "walk and talk" therapy provides an opportunity to take therapy off the couch and into the outdoors. Walking, especially in nature, can help alleviate depression and anxiety while facilitating clearer thinking, broader perspectives, and an overall sense of well-being.
