My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Perinatal Mental Health Certification, and am an IFS-informed counselor. My approach is client-centered and compassionate, helping you navigate life’s transitions with greater self-awareness and resilience. With experience supporting individuals through birth, grief, parenting, and other major life changes—including raising gender-diverse children—I strive to create a space where you feel seen and supported. My goal is to help you better understand yourself so you can identify the tools and support needed to feel more grounded and empowered in your journey. I look forward to working with you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and valued for who you are. My practice is rooted in an anti-oppression lens, recognizing the ways systemic forces shape our lives and mental health. I strive to create an affirming and liberatory space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. I celebrate the richness of each individual’s identity and lived experience. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, trans-positive, and committed to supporting people of all genders, sexualities, and relationship structures. Your identity is not something to be pathologized, but rather embraced and honored. I practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach, challenging diet culture and weight stigma while supporting you in developing a compassionate, empowered relationship with your body. Mental and physical well-being should never come at the cost of shame or unrealistic societal expectations.
