My Background and Approach
I have my BS in psychology with a minor in criminology and certificate in disability studies as well as MA in clinical mental health counseling. I have a background in working with children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a community behavioral health setting. I also have a background in co-leading intensive outpatient treatment groups for adults with severe and chronic depression and anxiety. I work with adults and adolescents through individual therapy. I see individuals with a variety of mental health concerns, including chronic mental illness, trauma, self-esteem, personality disorders, anxiety, and depression. I strive to honor each individual’s uniqueness and recognize that different approaches will work for different people. I utilize a trauma-informed and holistic lens. I gravitate towards cognitive-behavioral, gestalt, and narrative modalities. Together we will find the right approach to help you reach your goals.
