About My Clients
With all that is going on in the world, it is important now more than ever to prioritize your mental health and work towards resiliency, growth and self-compassion. I help kids, teens and adults in their journey of navigating internal and external experiences and emotions and regulating their nervous systems in an individual, couples or family capacity. Areas of speciality include anxiety and mood disorders, relationship and communication issues, somatic complaints, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I began my career providing psychological and neurological testing for those seeking a diagnosis, entering a certain career paths, or experiencing neurological dysfunction. Shortly thereafter, I began working in an intensive in-patient and out-patient drug and alcohol addiction treatment facility specialized on clients experiencing co-occurring psychiatric conditions, PTSD/C-PTSD, and poverty. Today, my practice focuses on providing services to communities in need advocating for social justice. Since there is no one-size-fits-all in therapy, so I use a variety of trauma-informed techniques that offers you options and insights into how we can collaborate to make this therapeutic journey most impactful for you. In session, I primarily use cognitive behavioral and somatic therapy while incorporating aspects of attachment theory, EMDR and IFS in our work depending on the needs and goals of the client. EMDR sessions are available for adults only at this time.
