About My Clients
I work with individuals, couples, teens, and adults to tackle challenges and emphasize positive changes as defined by their goals. My main focus is with individuals who want to improve their relationships with others, and LGBTQIA+ clients looking to strengthen their identity and build self-esteem. I also work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to meet client needs.
My Background and Approach
I strive to foster therapy that is led by my clients and founded on an honest relationship between a counselor and client. My interest in counseling began at a young age and stems from my love of reading. My curiosity led me to pursue a career in mental health. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), Licensed Associate Counselor (Arizona), and a National Certified Counselor. I've completed two levels of training in Gottman Method couples therapy, and my therapeutic style is based in Person-Centered, Existential, and Solution-Focused approaches. Originally from Tucson, I attended the University of Arizona and earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Master’s in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling. Throughout my studies, I have been intentional about learning best practices for working with individuals and couples from a wide range of cultures, and I continue to educate myself as my career progresses and the world changes.
