Welcome, Hero! Believe it or not, you are the hero of your story. Like any good story, there are fears, challengers, and uncertainties that must be faced. There are also new revelations, skills, and resources that must be gained. In any crisis, there is opportunity for growth and discovery. In every act of destruction, there is opportunity for creativity. I journey with clients who are ready to awaken their Inner Hero and mobilize their inner resources for healing.
My Background and Approach
I offer therapy in Texas and Florida both online and outdoors. The tools I will share with you are tailored to your needs and integrate cognitive, somatic, emotion-focused, and soul-centered approaches. I’m a strong proponent of whole-health approaches to mental health and offer an array of holistic modalities, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Mindfulness, Ecotherapy, and Expressive Arts. We will work collaboratively to find the unique blend that is right for you. As a seasoned therapist, mindfulness practitioner, nature lover, poet, SoulCollage® Facilitator, and fellow traveler, every experience has taught me to appreciate the interrelationships of Mind, Body, Heart and Soul. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love working with diverse clients and communities to actualize ambitious health and wellness goals. My guiding values are holistic, integrative, and trauma informed care based on compassion, collaboration, curiosity, courage, creativity, and humor. I am knowledgeable in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals. Prior to private practice, I worked at Legacy Community Health, the Montrose Center, and Dignity Houston, a nonprofit focused on spiritual development, education, social justice, equality, and social events for LGBTQ+ Catholics. As you may have noticed, I’m a fan of Joseph Campbell’s “the hero’s journey.” I believe we are all on a journey to become the hero of our own story and fulfill our unique Call to Adventure. I am honored to journey with you to unlock your resilience and resourcefulness in facing life’s challenges and actualizing your highest goals.
