In person therapy for adolescents and young adults

Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Seattle, WA

About My Clients

I help people who are struggling to find the good in themselves or their life. I help those who are experiencing chaos, grief, trauma, and change. My clients are primarily adolescents, teens, and young adults who are seeking to make meaning from their confusing or inexplicable life experiences.

My Background and Approach

I am strongly influenced by current psychoanalytic theory, attachment theory, neuroscience, and comic books. I am curious about unconscious patterns of thought, behavior, and experience, and I will share my curiosities with you in hopes that together we can come to a deeper understanding of your mind and what makes up your sense of self.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that people are good. That even the worst things we do or feel are fundamentally rooted in a desire for something good. I want you to find that good, in yourself and in your life, and I knows that process may be difficult, painful, and long. In my relationship with clients, I focus on security and playfulness. My goal is to facilitate a relationship where you are free to explore; to grow more and more into who you are and want to be. I approaches my clinical work with curiosity and a willingness to take risks. I am curious about my clients and curious about what’s going on between us. I don't want it to feel like we are just coasting because in therapy, something should be changing. Stagnation isn’t helpful. I believe that therapy is an exciting, unpredictable, and powerful process. And if it’s not playful, it’s not worth it.
