About My Clients
My focus extends to substance abuse, chronic illness, life transitions, LGBTQIA experiences, trauma, fertility, and maternal mental health. Healing is a collaborative process, where together we’ll turn your vulnerability into resilience, and your pain into growth. With an approach customized to your individual needs, you can overcome trauma. As a Certified Trauma Professional with certifications in Trauma-Conscious Yoga and Yoga Teacher Training, I bring a unique blend of skills to my practice.
My Background and Approach
My focus is on addressing deep-rooted emotional pain, complex PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I believe that healing from trauma is a journey that involves reclaiming one’s sense of safety, empowerment, and emotional balance. With a holistic, somatic approach to therapy, I believe that healing involves the mind-body connection. Here’s what you can expect: Guided Exploration: a safe haven where you can explore your emotions and gain fresh perspectives on everyday challenges. Specialized Support: expertise that extends to a range of specialties and allows a tailored approach to meet your unique needs. Holistic Growth: encouragement and empowerment to explore your authentic self and to navigate life’s challenges with newfound clarity and resilience. I received my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Houston, a BA in Forensic Psychology & a BS in Human Services and Community Justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have many pursuits outside of the counseling room. I'm passionate about promoting healthy relationships and have worked to promote sexual health and advocate against sexual assault. In my free time, I'm a voracious reader. Last year, I devoured 110 books, spanning psychological thrillers, mysteries, and romance.
