Accepting Clients

Hi, I'm Zoë! I am a therapist in private practice on the East side of Los Angeles and have been in the field for over 10 years.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles, CA

About My Clients

My clients are often managing anxiety, depression, transition, low self esteem, loss. I love to work with clients on: intuitive eating skills, building self confidence, effective communication skills, and boundary setting. I love working with couples and providing perinatal mental health for pregnant and postpartum clients.

My Background and Approach

Finding balance in life is key, and it starts with awareness of the areas in your life creating the most stress. Together we will collaborate to create a plan for increasing balance, decreasing stress, and learning new techniques for relaxation. I believe through self compassion and hard work, inner healing and personal transformations are entirely possible. I also believe that a holistic approach along with an open mind creates a path towards ongoing healing. Therapy is one tool that we have but just like treating any medical condition or issue, we want to approach it from many different angles. This means that while our sessions are important and meaningful, the work you do outside of sessions is imperative for success. Ideally this means you will be incorporating mindfulness practices, cognitive work, relational work, engaging in or finding joyful activities, body work, building support through community, + healing the relationship with yourself first and foremost.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe on a core level we all need to feel seen and heard by someone in our lives in order to heal wounds. The Ego says "No one understands me." The Higher Self says "I seek to understand myself." When we create an empathic space to explore who we are and why we make certain choices on a deeper level, I think we heal the wound of feeling misunderstood while simultaneously digging deeper into understanding ourselves. I believe with hard work, an open mind and self compassion it is possible to work through difficult experiences, heal traumas and experience joy in our lives again. I strongly believe in rights for ALL humans, I believe in health at EVERY size, and am openly supportive of humanitarian rights. I believe in the human capacity for internal growth and care of one another in our communities and our society.
