Kiah Shea
Therapist, LICSWMy clients are often Gen Zs and Millennials experiencing the challenges that life changes and transitions can bring. In the safe spaces I foster, my clients often describe me personable and kind.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or other mental health concerns, I am here to support you with compassion, honesty and an open mind. I work primarily with young adults and adults from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. Most often, the folx I partner with are seeking an opportunity for growth and healing as well as an opportunity to further enhance coping skills and self-understanding.

Have you recently said to yourself "I don't want to do this anymore or feel this way anymore?" Whether it's having the same argument with your child or partner or struggling with the feelings of anxiety and depression that make daily life difficult, we will work together to get you to a life of greater confidence, balance, and satisfaction. I hope to support you in getting to a place where you aren't just surviving throughout the day but thriving throughout the day.
The more I am in this field the more I realize that I am very passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community, which I also belong to. I particularly enjoy working with trans folx and helping them navigate the process of coming out or just the day to day stress of the society we currently live in. I love working with people who are new to therapy just as much as working with those who are familiar with it.
As a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) myself, I specialize in working with other HSPs. As a member of the queer community, it has been important and fulfilling to me to support LGBTQ+ clients throughout my career. I am in training to become a Certified Body Trust Provider, meaning I help clients work on their relationship with food and themselves from a weight-inclusive, health-at-every-size stance. Additional areas of focus include anxiety, grief, relationships, stress management, and self-care.

I serve teenagers 16+ and adults in individual, couples, and family therapy. Whether you are experiencing specific symptoms, a more general sense of malaise, or a lack of meaningfulness, I will use a collaborative approach to help you reach your goals and feel more content and happy. I firmly believe the results of therapy should be meaningful, powerful, and measurable. Therapy can be life-changing, and I would look forward to working with you.
I work with clients across the life span navigating challenges with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, complicated life transitions, and attachment issues. I have specialized experience working with teens and adolescents, supporting the unique needs that can arise during this incredibly dynamic season of life. I am trauma trained and bring trauma informed care into my work.
I love supporting clients in cultivating self-compassion, building on their strengths, and discovering new strategies for greater peace and well-being. I specialize in working with folks navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship dynamics. My practice is inclusive of neurodivergence, gender and sexual identity, polyamory, kink, and social or communication challenges. Together, we can create a path toward growth and authenticity.
Everyone experiences distressing or overwhelming challenges at different points in life. Many people struggle to manage these inevitable difficulties, get stuck and then subsequently feel defined by their emotional pain. This can negatively impact relationships, ambitions, work and self-worth. I believe in people’s inherent right to live meaningful and joyful lives and in their ability to choose how to respond to life’s challenges.
I work with adult individuals, couples, and adult groups (think: adult child and parent, adult siblings, friends, etc). I do not work with teens or children. My typical clients are interested in working through issues, invested in their growth, and are open to exploring deeper issues of life and what it means to be them. I am strongly relational in my work with clients, providing feedback, insight, and guidance in a nonjudgmental way.

For anyone who has ever been accused of being too emotional, too sensitive, too wild; for anyone who doesn't fit into the boxes society has created; for anyone who has struggled to find their place in the world-- you are my people. Many of my clients identify within the LGBTQ+ community and are between the ages of 12 and 40.
My clients are deep thinkers, sensitive souls, and growth-oriented humans who are ready to live more fully aligned with their truth. Many are navigating life transitions, burnout, spiritual awakening, or the quiet sense that there’s more to life than what they’ve been living. They seek depth, clarity, and real transformation—not surface solutions.
As a psychotherapist I often work with men who are navigating various life challenges. My clientele primarily are dealing with anxiety, depression, and relationship or intimacy issues. These are men from all walks of life who may feel overwhelmed by their emotions, trapped in negative thought patterns, or struggle with interpersonal connections.
My clients are open to exploring all aspects of themselves. They understand that healing is a process, not an overnight fix. Typically my clients are seeking deeper self-understanding and more fulfilling relationships. Perhaps they've tried other methods like talk therapy alone but are looking for a new approach. They may struggle with low self-esteem, trauma from their past, or difficulty expressing emotions. They want to reconnect with their innate creativity and be more self-compassionate.
At East Coast Mental Wellness, we provide compassionate and inclusive mental health services to a diverse range of clients. Our practice is dedicated to supporting individuals across all walks of life, with a strong focus on serving the LGBTQ+ community, gender-diverse individuals, artists, entrepreneurs, and those navigating life transitions.
