Codependency, sometimes referred to as “relationship addiction," describes sacrificing one’s personal needs to try to meet the needs of others. Although it is often associated with romantic relationships, codependency can be experienced in all types of close relationships, including with family and friendships. Someone who is codependent has an extreme focus outside themselves. Their thoughts and actions revolve around other people, such as a spouse or relative or they build their identity on helping or “saving” other people. Codependents typically experience feelings of low self-esteem, anxiety and insecurity in these relationships and may also experience perfectionism and control issues. Codependent symptoms can worsen if left untreated. If you are worried that you might be codependent, reach out to one of TherapyDen’s codependency experts today!
Isn’t opening up to a new therapist one of the worst things? Especially when you’re worried if they’ll “get” the experiences you’ve had exploring or developing new identities. Whether this is the first or 50th time searching for a therapist, it’s scary. I work hard to minimize those fears by providing a safe and affirming space to open up and embrace your own truth. What would it be like to work with a therapist who accepts you exactly as you are, while supporting you to be better? Come find out

Are you looking for a therapist who is real, genuine, & can guide you across?

Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I work with individuals facing developmental trauma, attachment wounds, childhood abuse, intergenerational trauma, panic disorders, and OCD. My clients often seek a holistic approach to healing, integrating mind and body. They are motivated to explore innovative therapies like EMDR, somatic therapy, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy to achieve lasting change
Our clients are the kind of folks who are ready to level up—not just their lives, but their relationships and their sense of self. They’re all about putting in the work, both in and out of sessions (yes, there’s homework, but it’s the good kind). They want a therapist who’s not just along for the ride, but right there in the trenches with them, working just as hard to create a safe, supportive space to grow.

Some seasons of life can be extra challenging, and asking for help can be hard to do. I can help you find peace and clarity amidst the storms of life. If you are in a transitional phase of life- perhaps considering separation or divorce, working through some intense family conflict, or finally facing childhood trauma- I can help. Whatever you are facing, I can support you as you learn to become empowered, assertive, and calm once again.

Are you feel stuck in a pattern that you seem unable to get out of or dealing with complex feelings or situations that leave you feeling overwhelmed? I understand how difficult it can be to entertain the idea that life can be different. It is my belief that therapy is a space for you to interrogate beliefs, regain a sense of agency, and to rewrite your story. I will work with you to gently explore the origins of beliefs that no longer serve you and use evidenced based therapy to empower you.

I believe one of the most healing things we can do is understand our stories and how it affects our everyday life and relationships. These experiences can manifest in different ways such as anxiety, emotional numbness, or relationship challenges. The clients I work with have oftentimes experienced complex relational traumas in childhood and dysfunctional family dynamics. Through these difficult experiences, we develop coping strategies and protective behaviors, which may no longer be serving you

As a trained addictions counselor, I work with people who are experiencing emotional pain and want it to stop. We find that pain in a variety of ways and the suffering feels completely overwhelming. I get it. I overstand. Let's turn and face that something inside of that desperately wants to be healed.
