Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a traumatic, scary or dangerous event. PTSD can be caused by either witnessing or experiencing the trauma. Events that sometimes trigger PTSD include everything from sexual assault, war, and violence, to car accidents or other incidents that could cause loss of life. It is not at all uncommon for people who go through something traumatic to have temporary difficulty coping and acute symptoms, but with time, they usually get better. However, if the symptoms last longer than a month, get worse rather than better and affect your ability to function, you may be suffering from PTSD. Symptoms of PTSD may include severe anxiety, anger, nightmares, trouble sleeping, flashbacks to the event, frightening thoughts, avoidance of situations or places, feeling on edge and/or being easily startled. It is one of the greatest gifts of my life to be able to serve as a guide to others while they navigate the painful and expansive process of knowing themselves more fully. My experience is focused on teens and adults, ages 13 and up. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. I also have training and experience working with the LGBTQ+ population. I offer licensure supervision to fellow therapists pursuing their LCSW.

I use a person-centered approach with Cognitive Behavioral techniques and skills from Internal Family Systems Therapy, as well as solution focused techniques for immediate relief.

My clients have a variety of mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, autism, OCD, borderline personality disorder, and ODD. My clients consists of children, teens, adults, couples, and families. My clients come from diverse genders and sexualities.
My clients tend to be people who are seeking to bring spirituality more to the forefront in their lives. This includes people who are "spiritual but not religious", people of a certain faith, or people who do not have a faith. Anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and difficulties in relationships are all areas where I can offer creative, heart-centered solutions grounded in your values and beliefs.
